Being a Crusaders fan, I must say that I am really worried about the game this weekend against the Brumbies. News just in is that Captain Richie McCaw will not be playing against the Brumbies on Saturday in Canberra. I was really looking forward to this match as one always does when the Crusaders take on the Brumbies but I have to use my head here over my heart and I see a Brumbies victory come Saturday. Not only have the Crusaders lost Richie for this game but they are also without Leon MacDonald at fullback and ‘Big’ Brad Thorn at lock. The Saders are looking very thin going into this one.
It tough to make a call of which is the game of the weekend when the Super 14 starts tomorrow. I know many in South Africa are looking forward to the Stormers - Sharks game but then again there is a big one taking place in New Zealand between the Crusaders and the Chiefs on Saturday. The Chiefs seem to be the dark horses of New Zealand with many not thinking they will do well but they could surprise us all. The starting lineups for both teams have been named for this clash on Saturday, let’s take a closer look at them and see if we can predict as best as we can how this result will go based on the starting XV’s.

Deans is arguably the best coach in rugby today and it still baffles me why he was not offered the All Black coaching job. But I will leave that debate for another day. The Crusaders were highly successful under Deans and now that he has gone a new coach has stepped in, Todd Blackadder!
