Without further ado, here are the 37 Lions for the tour to SA in June.
Backs: Lee Byrne, Rob Kearney, Shane Williams, Leigh Halfpenny, Ugo Monye, Luke Fitzgerald, Tommy Bowe, Tom Shanklin, Jamie Roberts, Brian O’Driscoll, Keith Earls, Riki Flutey, Ronan O’Gara, Stephen Jones, Mike Phillips, Harry Ellis, Tomas O’Leary.
Forwards: Jamie Heaslip, Andy Powell, David Wallace, Stephen Ferris, Alan Quinlan, Joe Worsley, Martyn Williams, Alun-Wyn Jones, Paul O’Connell, Donncha O’Callaghan, Simon Shaw, Nathan Hines, Gethin Jenkins, Adam Jones, Andrew Sheridan, Phil Vickery, Euan Murray, Jerry Flannery, Lee Mears, Matthew Rees.
It seems that the pundits have decided that this Lions team is not good enough to win in SA and a likely result will be 2-1in favour of the hosts.
To me, this Lions team has enough in each department to cause a major upset.

The Boks under-estimated the Lions in 1974 and in 1997 and we all know what happened then! And I think they have done the same this year. The likes of Guru and Amani are predicting a 3-0 whitewash to the Boks but i still hold firm that the Lions are going to win one game!
All it takes is for Pienaar to be injured and the Boks come short at flyhalf. If they have to use Steyn at flyhalf then the Lions are going to have a party!! The lack of depth at number 10 is my biggest concern with the Boks unless PdV calls upon the likes of Morne Steyn who for me has not had much experience (if any) at test level.

I don’t think that Ruan is a good enough fly-half anyway. Lions will be licking their lips at the anticipation of having an inexperienced Bok fly-half in such an important series. Thats definitely a weakness to be exploited. And your right Ron, the situation is made worse by the fact that the back up fly-halves are much, much worse..Earl Rose, Morne Steyn, Frans Steyn….??? 2-1 to the Lions!

Blah blah blah blah……….that’s all i hear coming from Ron and Manny. Gents, come now, can we be serious here, how can you make a mountain out of an anthill.
Boks to win 3-0. At the very worst, 2-1 with a 1 point victory for the Lions in the 1st game due to poor referee decisions. Barring a bad ref, Boks to win the series 3-0.
