What is wrong with Tonderai Chavhanga?

I do not think many players have had injury troubles such as those experienced by Tonderai Chavhanga. The guy is just unlucky!! Chavhanga got injured again on Saturday against the Lions and it is another hamstring injury. The guy has been hit with injuries through out his whole career. One can only imagine what may have been if he never suffered all those injuries. Some say he is the quickest winger in world rugby (I am not too sure about that). Maybe if he is fully fit he could be right up there with the Shane Williams and Ngewenya’s of this world. I would love to find out from the medical staff who look after Chavhanga, what really is the problem with him and his injuries.
On his day he can set the stage alight. Just look at the video clip below and see how he ‘turned on the motor’ against Sivivatu.

Amazing pace!!! Pity the injuries just keep cropping back up. Not sure if the medical staff are doing their job properly because this has been persistent for 3 seasons now. Maybe they are rushing him back into it before he heals.
Chavanga is by far and away the fastest winger in top flight rugby, Joe Roc can testify to that as well as Sivi. Ngwenya himself admits he used to eat his dust in track meets in Zim. Brett Stapleton from Oz is the only one close but he happens to be crud at rugby and couldnt get into the top flight( tried out with Force ). I think part of his problem is that he is foremost a sprinter and he doest have the strength to make the lateral movements at his speed. Theres some hamstring specialist in Germany, whos fixed a lot of top athletes with similar problems. I think even Andre Pretorius consulted him for one of his many weird injuries.
Maybe they should send Chavhanga to that guy then. My fear is that as a winger his prime time should be round about now and maybe til 2011 at best. So if he cannot stay fit during this time, he may just find himself running out of time.
Well, indeed Chavanga has had his fair share of injuries but it has to be said,He lacks BMT.Dont get it twisted,i’m a fan and a stormaers die hard but i must adimit, the guy lacks BMT and it was ably shown when he was given three tests at the beginning of last year’s test season and was dropped. In comes Petersen and vuala, the kid steps up.He’s got nothing on Chavanga in terms of pace or explosiveness yet….!?
One leg is longer than the other, so I read once on supersport.co.za that is what causes the injuries, don’t think there is anything they can do about it, just has to play and hope that he doesn’t get injured. But yes He is the fastest, google the fastest winger in world rugby and it will tell you, if you believe everything you read I guess!!
Tondie just needs to deal with his injuries…Othawise in terms of pace, no winger in world rugby can contest him. I went to school with that bloke,i know what am talking about. The only thing i wish for and pray for is that he gets better phyically. I sometimes think the weight he prefers to keep is not the best…there are heavier guys out there.
Hey to Bryan Peterson, so you went to PE too, My bro was a junior there when Tondie was a senior.
